Agreement to Promote the Interests of Older Workers

Veolia Environmental Services signed an agreement with labor unions CGT and CFE-DGC to promote the interests of older workers on October 12, 2009. Signed for a three-year period effective January 1, 2010, the agreement covers all Veolia Environmental Services companies and subsidiaries in France in which we hold a 50% or greater stake. Not only does the agreement include an overall objective to keep employees 55 and over in their jobs (15% reduction in early retirements compared with 2009), it addresses other areas for action, such as access to training, mentoring and work-retirement transition.
