Powered by diesel fuel and electricity, the new collection vehicle model designed by Veolia Environmental Services was presented in November 2009.
Its most remarkable characteristics are longer-live batteries and a bin lift and compacter that can be recharged en route.
The hybrid vehicle's environmental benefits include an up to 30% reduction in fuel consumption and lower emissions and noise.
One collection vehicle is now being tested in the streets of London and another one will soon be tested in France.
