A Dedicated Channel for the Collection of Distress Flares

Distress flares that are landfilled or transported inappropriately—even abandoned outdoors—pose a risk to human beings and their environment. That is why Pyrotechnis, a subsidiary of Veolia Environmental Services (SARP Industries) and the SNPE company, collected distress flares in 2006, given that a million distress flares are programmed for destruction in France each year.
