Veolia Environmental Services' training policy contributes to the development of employee skills and enables us to anticipate our needs.

Customized training

A core aspect of Veolia Environmental Services' Human Resources policy, training focuses on two main areas. It is both a primary recruiting tool through alternating classroom/hands-on work-study contracts and a development resource that strengthens proficiency and encourages promotion.

Planning ahead

Given the changing nature of our professions and the diverse settings in which they are practiced, introductory and continuing employee education is essential. The network of Veolia Environnement campuses, now a global benchmark for corporate training, spans 11 countries. Its 20 centers provides 2,581 training courses in 2012.

Specific integration resources

To make it easier for those joining the company to adjust and acquire the general knowledge necessary to work in the division, Veolia Environmental Services has developed targeted, customized integration resources:

  • Veolia Environmental Services professional pathways for newly hired workers: four shared modules—knowledge of the company, interpersonal skills & behavior, health & safety and environmental awareness—plus a technical module for the specific occupation. This tool speeds integration and the ability of new employees to function in their jobs.
  • JIVE (Veolia Environnement Integration Days) are a shared Veolia Environnement integration program for managers.
